Interim Management in committees -
the perfect choice!
Especially in exceptional entrepreneurial situations such as succession situations, acquisitions, refinancing, the development of new business fields or changes in the management team, decision-makers need experienced, competent and independent advisors. The same applies to strategic issues. The involvement of supervisory and advisory boards is therefore increasingly focused on concrete entrepreneurial tasks and goals.
Good advisory boards also act as a link between generations, as mediators in conflicts within owner-managed companies or as coordinators in divergent assessments between shareholders and outside directors. In this context it becomes clear how demanding it is to fill advisory board mandates correctly. The appointment must meet the requirements of the company and its shareholders and no outside interests, favours, random availability or the like may influence the appointment.
When listing the qualities required of an advisory board, it is noticeable that interim managers are particularly suited to take on such an office. As experienced, seasoned managers with sector and technical know-how, they enter the advisory board unencumbered and without operational blindness. They think entrepreneurially and do not pursue their own interests.
